Always Trusting in God

MIVF

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5

In the face of life’s challenges, it’s natural to feel fear—especially when we don't understand God's purposes. Yet the Word teaches us to trust Him with all our heart, not relying on our own understanding.

Trusting in God doesn’t mean we won’t face problems. It means that no matter the circumstances, He remains in control. Job, even after losing everything, declared, “Though He slay me, yet I will hope in Him.” (Job 13:15). That unshakable trust isn’t born out of a life without trials, but out of a deep relationship with the Lord.

Jesus told us that we would face trouble in this world, but He encouraged us by saying, “Take heart, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33). Knowing we serve a God who has already overcome strengthens us. God invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us.

In difficult times, we must hold on to God’s promises and remember that He works for the good of those who love Him. We may not always understand the Lord’s ways, but He sees beyond what we can see. Our part is to trust, persevere in prayer, and remain faithful.

If you’re going through trials today, remember: God is faithful. He never abandons His children, and in His perfect timing, He will bring relief. The Lord is our rock and safe refuge. Trust Him—for the One who promised is faithful to fulfill.

Trusting God in the midst of adversity

  • Pray with faith: Bring your struggles to God in prayer, believing He hears and will respond at the right time.

  • Meditate on God's Word: Strengthen your faith by reading the Bible and remembering His promises and constant care.

  • Rest in God's sovereignty: Surrender your worries to the Lord, knowing He is in control and always working for your good.

To pray:
Dear Lord, I place my trust in You. In difficult times, strengthen my faith and renew my strength. Help me remember that You are in control and that Your plans are always better than mine. Teach me to rest in You. May Your peace fill my heart, and may Your presence guide me always. In Jesus’ name, amen.
