"When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy."
(Psalm 94:19, NIV)
Anxiety is a feeling that can paralyze our faith. In the same way, strengthening our faith is one of the best ways to fight anxiety. While faith is "the assurance of what we hope for and the certainty of what we do not see" (Hebrews 11:1), anxiety thrives on doubt and uncertainty.
Jesus is the remedy for anxiety!
The enemy sows doubt, but Christ gives us peace and direction. Don’t let anxiety take control of your mind. Meditate on God’s Word. Replace fear of the future with the powerful presence of God.
Cast Out Anxiety
-
If you’re feeling anxious—pray. Ease your heart by speaking with God about what you're feeling.
-
Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The more our faith grows, the less room anxiety has.
Prayer
Lord,
Your Word brings me comfort. Your voice calms my soul and fills me with joy. Remove all doubt, fear, and uncertainty from my heart. Come and dwell in me, Lord!
Amen.
